Q: How long have you been with Holladay Construction Group? When did you start?
Joe: 10 years. I joined in 2006.
Q: What titles have you held throughout your time at Holladay Construction Group and when did you have those titles?
Joe: Joined as a Site Superintendent and I’m currently a Superintendent/Assistant Project Manager.
Q: What is your background in the construction industry (i.e. education, experience, previous employers)?
Joe: I signed up with the Carpenter’s Union Local 1485 in May of 1988. Completed a 4-year apprenticeship and continued on the job training ever since. My experience has been in commercial/light industrial.
Q: What is the best thing about your job?
Joe: It’s hard to pick one thing. I love the types of projects that we build and enjoy interacting with the customers. I’m also surrounded by several hard-working and dedicated people, each in their own way.
Q: What is the worst thing about your job?
Joe: I really don’t have a worst thing. On the construction side, every job and every customer is different, so things are always changing.
Q: How do you spend your free time, away from work?
Joe: Monday through Friday, work wears me out, so I normally read or watch TV at night. Weekends, it’s exercise, shoot sporting clays, and eating badly.
