Sarah Mattingly, an artist who teaches classes from her home and wife of Holladay Construction Group Executive Vice President, Billy Mattingly, has created a piece of art designed to inspire hope. With the difficult time facing the nation, her print, appropriately named “Hope” will also support local businesses impacted by the current shutdown.
Mattingly’s artwork is part of the Indy Keeps Creating initiative. The Indy Arts & Culture COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund was created to provide financial assistance to arts and cultural organizations that have had to cancel events due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The “Hope” print is available for purchase online from Mattingly’s online store at The Creative Corner. In an interview with WISH TV, Mattingly said she wants people to put her art in a special place in their home and be able to one day look back on this time and “look up and think that hope is really what got them through.”
In a kind gesture to fellow associates, and in support of his wife and the creative community in Indianapolis, Billy Mattingly purchased several copies of the print to spread some hope and encouragement to his coworkers. This is a great example of how the Holladay family is supporting and nurturing each other during this challenging time.
