Pilot Freight Services Tenant Improvement - Indianapolis, IN
"The design/build services Holladay Construction Group provided to Intex Properties on behalf of Pilot Freight Services was nothing short of impressive. HCG took the existing construction drawings and designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems around my office and warehouse requirements. The suggested value engineering items throughout the space helped make our new facility more productive and cost effective.
Throughout the design and construction process HCG was able to maintain almost daily communication regarding the status of each phase, which allowed for a great deal of flexibility with last minute modifications and the finish design, while keeping my project on schedule and within budget. Although, we did not begin the project during the most ideal time of year; the use of numerous coordination tactics kept the project moving along at a productive pace, despite the frigid temperatures and wet conditions. The overall quality of the finished product and the level of detail inherent in the record keeping far exceeded my expectations for the project, which moreover, should be most beneficial to my current operation and the future maintenance of the facility.
The extraordinary effort put forth by HCG at the eleventh hour greatly contributed to the success of our pre-scheduled open house, which was an outstanding event. I received and continue to receive nothing but compliments from both our vendors and our clients. "This letter is in regards to your project, Hilton Gardens, located at 53995 State Road 933 in South Bend. As I have relayed to both [the] Site Superintendent and [the] Project Manager, I have never been so impressed with a construction site in terms of compliance with International/Indiana Fire Code; Chapter 12 - Fire Safety During Construction and Demolition.
As soon as the walls were erected, exit signs and fire extinguishers were mounted. A board listing required safety information was placed in a central location. All areas are consistently kept free of debris and clutter, including the yard.
It is quite obvious that this is a standard procedure for these personnel. I have not had a construction site where all the issues related to safety during construction were addressed without any intervention on my part.
As with any work area, be it indoors or out, the safer and less cluttered it is, all workers will be more inclined to concentrate on the task at hand; provide a greater level of productivity, which ultimately leads to a better built product.
