Project Recap: The BowTruss Building

(Nashville, Tenn.) – Holladay Construction Group has completed work on the BowTruss Building in Nashville, TN, a former warehouse that has been converted into creative office space. The project broke ground in August of 2012 and the first tenant, Stratasan moved into their 4,500 SF space in February, 2013.

One of the few office buildings that have opened in the Germantown area since its renaissance decades ago, The BowTruss Building features open architecture, exposed metal bowtruss beams, a vaulted wooden ceiling and spacious windows and skylights that take the space from ordinary to extraordinary.

The building was 100% leased at completion and HCG will begin work on the final TI project for ad agency, redpepper, in the next month. The fourth and final tenant in the 38,000 SF office building will occupy the remaining 18,000 SF. HCG finished the tenant improvements for Deavor Creative Co-working last month. The 5,700 square foot project offers a new concept in creative work spaces with co-working desks and work spaces in a creative, open atmosphere as well as shared spaces like meeting rooms, board rooms and a multipurpose room for events and learning opportunities.

Concept Technology, who occupies 8,700 SF of the BowTruss Building, was recently featured in the Nashville Business Journal and in the project architect’s blog for its creative, non-traditional office design. The transformation of The BowTruss Building from vacant warehouse to a modern, high-tech office space with exposed wood ceilings and expansive steel trusses has been amazing and we will be sorry to see this project come to an end.
